Africa does not celebrate Christmas. I am alone in the office and look at snow out the window hoping to get away early and throw myself into the fray of the Manor *. Elbows down and squashing, barrel blind until the last gift. The slip in the balance, the scarves on offer.
So another year is almost over, Gelmini unrelenting while the bill also passed the Senate, the Ivory Coast on the verge of civil war and the first refugees in Liberia, the Sudan called the referendum for secession, and the usual menate of wars and violence in the Third World blah blah .
Every Christmas I ask myself "who knows where I'll be next year at this time" secretly hoping not to find myself again in the same place.
LArobe The best gift we could receive is a surprise in Geneva hope to celebrate again next Christmas.
Greetings to all my readers.
.. and remember .. Africa
